A policy forms the base for manifestation of the intent and planning of the Central as well as State Governments. This in turn shapes the Social and Economic growth (or decline thereof). COSIA has always endeavored for furthering the National Interest and for the nourishment and growth of MSMEs in India.
It is well known that MSMEs are next only to Agriculture when it comes to employment generation. It also has a large share in Industrial Output and Exports. Even after considering these facts, it is appalling that MSMEs face problems in every aspect of their existence; from availability of Credit to skilled workforce, opportunities for Innovation and Technology up gradation to menace of harassment from authorities. MSMEs need empowerment to face the market forces, especially the Global Challenges and hence it is imperative to first address the before mentioned existential threats.
There is a need for all round development of MSMEs and to achieve this objective COSIA represents the concerns and requirements of MSMEs at National as well as State levels.
