Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Finance Minister of India, urging for a comprehensive investigation by both Central and State GST authorities. The representation highlights the necessity of stringent action against any personnel found complicit in these unethical activities to preserve the credibility of GST offices across the nation.
To further safeguard against such breaches, COSIA recommends the inspection of GST offices nationwide, along with the implementation of robust measures to monitor the handling of sensitive data by department officers.
