Thane Small Scale Industries Association (TSSIA) and Chamber of Small Industry Associations (COSIA), in association with Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys (LKS), organised a seminar on “GST – Next Gen Reform: Navigating the new era of Rate Rationalization, GSTAT and beyond” on 16th September 2025 at Thane.
The programme began with a Welcome Address by Mr. C. S. Shetty, EC Member of TSSIA, followed by an Opening Address by Mrs. Sujata Soparkar, Immediate Past President of TSSIA.
The highlight of the event was the presence of Mr. Sanjay Kelkar, Hon’ble MLA of Thane, as the Chief Guest. He addressed the gathering on the significance of the latest GST reforms and shared his views on the impact of the upcoming changes for trade and industry.
The technical sessions were conducted by Mr. Nirav Karia (Partner, LKS) and Mr. Jayesh Talreja (Associate Partner, LKS). They explained in detail the key aspects of the recent GST rate rationalization effective from 22nd September 2025, the operationalisation of GSTAT, and landmark judicial decisions shaping the GST framework.
