On 29th August, 2024, the Chamber of Small Industry Associations (COSIA) and Ahmed Abdullah Garib Private Industrial Training Institute (AAGPITI) proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step towards strengthening the industry-academia interface.

Located in Mumbra (Maharashtra) and affiliated with the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGE&T), AAGPITI is renowned for its robust industrial training programs. Offering a range of courses such as Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA), Draughtsman Civil, Draughtsman Mechanical, Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV), and Welder, AAGPITI is dedicated to delivering quality education and training to its students. This partnership aligns with AAGPITI’s mission to uplift its students and enhance their employability through comprehensive training and practical experience.
A Strategic Collaboration
The MoU formalizes a strategic collaboration between COSIA and AAGPITI with the primary objective of facilitating job readiness and placement for AAGPITI’s trainees. The scope of the partnership encompasses several key areas:
- Internships and Apprenticeships: The collaboration will involve creating and facilitating valuable internship and apprenticeship opportunities for AAGPITI’s students. - Job Placements: COSIA and AAGPITI will jointly work to improve job placement outcomes by connecting AAGPITI graduates with suitable employers, offering support throughout the job search and application processes.
- Industrial Visits, Guest Lectures, and Counseling: The partnership will facilitate industrial visits for AAGPITI’s faculty and trainees to COSIA’s member industries, as well as organize guest lectures by industry experts. These activities will enrich the educational experience by providing practical insights and guidance.
