On 20th January, 2025, COSIA organized a highly impactful career guidance seminar at SES Anand Vishwa Gurukul College (Thane-Maharashtra) for their second-year and third-year students. The seminar, conducted in collaboration with TSSIA, aimed to raise awareness about the skill development opportunities available under the COSIA Kaushalya Vikas Yojana (COSIA KVY).
The session began with Mr. Ninad Jaywant, Hon. General Secretary of COSIA, who introduced the students to the objectives and initiatives of both COSIA and TSSIA. He provided an overview of the diverse range of courses offered, including Bakery, Beautician, Sewing, Tally with GST, Computer Hardware and Networking, and Office Assistance, all designed to enhance students’ career prospects through skill-based training.
The seminar continued with a motivational session by Mr. Vinay Sawant, who inspired students with valuable insights on career growth. He spoke about the importance of building confidence, patience in problem-solving, and strategies to overcome challenges. His encouraging words were intended to help students stay positive and focused while pursuing their career goals.
The seminar saw an enthusiastic participation of 88 students, who actively engaged in the session and expressed a strong interest in the various skill development programs being offered.
Dignitaries present at the event included Mr. Ninad Jaywant, Hon. General Secretary, COSIA, Mr. Nipun Mehta, Hon. Jt. Secretary, COSIA, Mrs. Maya Waingankar, EC Member, TSSIA, and from SES AVG were – Mr. Vilas Thuse, Trustee, Dr. Harshala Likhite, Principal, Night College, and Mr. Vinayak Joshi, Professor In-charge. Their presence and support contributed to the success of the seminar.
The event concluded with positive feedback from both students and faculty, highlighting the value of such initiatives in empowering youth with practical skills to enhance their careers.
