COSIA Submits Recommendations on Draft Maharashtra Industrial Policy 2025

On 19th February 2025, the Chamber of Small Industry Associations (COSIA) submitted its detailed recommendations on the Draft Maharashtra Industrial Policy 2025 to the  Government of Maharashtra.

The recommendations focused on enhancing the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which is vital to Maharashtra’s industrial growth. Key proposals included:

  • Global Trade Promotion: Establishing export facilitation centers and supporting MSMEs in international trade fairs.
  • Ease of Doing Business: Implementing a true single-window clearance system and simplifying compliance for MSMEs.
  • Technology & Innovation: Promoting Industry 4.0/5.0 adoption and creating shared R&D centers.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Providing incentives for green technologies and promoting a circular economy.
  • Infrastructure Development: Developing MSME-focused industrial parks and improving MIDC areas.
  • Financial Support: Streamlining the Package Scheme of Incentives (PSI) and promoting collateral-free loans.
  • Additional Measures: Strengthening grievance redressal through MAITRI, launching an advanced MSME online portal, and including services of State agencies like MIDC, MPCB etc under the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act, 2015.

COSIA is eager to collaborate with the government to shape a robust industrial policy that fosters MSME growth and drives Maharashtra’s economic progress.
