COSIA Team’s Heartfelt Visit to Rural Schools in Dapoli – Ratnagiri

A dedicated COSIA team recently embarked on a meaningful journey to the rural schools of Dapoli Taluka in Ratnagiri District, Maharashtra, with a mission to understand how they could make a difference. Over two enriching days on 15th and 16th February 2025, the team connected with students, teachers, and village representatives, hoping to identify ways to uplift the education and infrastructure of these schools.

The visiting team included Mr. Ninad Jaywant (Hon. Gen. Secretary), CA Nandan Khambete (CMC Member), Mr. Sameer Shirodkar (Secretary Legal), Mr. Girish Khambete (Social Worker) and Mr. Vinay Sawant (Business Consultant and Counselor). Together, they visited Zilla Parishad School at Rukhi Village, M K English School at Anjarle, and Saraswati Madhyamik Vidyalay at Onavase Village.

At each school, the COSIA team engaged with principals, teachers, and village representatives to understand their challenges and aspirations. Whether it was exploring opportunities to enhance classrooms with e-learning setups or brainstorming ideas for vocational training labs, the team’s focus remained on practical and impactful solutions.

One of the standout moments was at Saraswati Madhyamik Vidyalay, where the team was warmly welcomed by the village community, including school trustees and Mr. ASA Dabir, a COSIA member and proud native of the village. Here, Mr. Vinay Sawant delivered an inspiring presentation to students and parents, emphasizing how skill development can unlock new opportunities. His words encouraged parents to support their children’s journey of self-improvement and learning.
