Thane Small Scale Industries Association (TSSIA), under the SIDBI PROMO Scheme initiative and in collaboration with TransUnion CIBIL and SIDBI, organised an exclusive online workshop on “Financial Awareness & Credit Risk Management for MSMEs” on 11th September 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
The workshop was designed to equip micro, small, and medium enterprises with essential financial knowledge and credit risk management strategies, helping them strengthen financial literacy and improve access to institutional credit.
The session began with Welcome & Context Setting by the SIDBI/KPMG Team, followed by a Welcome Address by Mr. Nandan Khambete, Hon. Joint Treasurer of TSSIA.
Key sessions included:
- Awareness Session on SIDBI Financial Products by Mr. Gunturi Sharma, AGM, SIDBI
- Financial Management & Credit Risk Management for MSMEs by Mr. Dinesh Valiramani, DTC – Marketing, TransUnion CIBIL
The resource persons explained the importance of maintaining sound credit health, understanding CIBIL scores/rankings, and how these impact financing options for MSMEs. They also discussed strategies for faster access to credit and highlighted key financial offerings from SIDBI tailored for small businesses.
The programme concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where participants interacted with the experts, followed by a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Sujata Soparkar, Immediate Past President of TSSIA.
The workshop witnessed active participation from MSME representatives including owners, finance managers, and operations managers, who appreciated the practical insights and guidance on financial planning, credit awareness, and risk management.
