The Chamber of Small Industry Associations, in association with Thane Small Scale Industries Association and other industry partners, organized a Half-Day Seminar on the Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions (OSH) Code, Webstac 3S Compliance Management Software Solutions for SMEs, and the Union Budget 2026–27 on 4th February 2026 at TSSIA House, Thane.
The seminar served as a valuable knowledge-sharing platform for MSMEs, industry leaders, and professionals to understand the latest regulatory developments, compliance requirements, and policy announcements impacting the manufacturing and SME sector.
The program began with a welcome address by Mr. Sandeep Parikh, President COSIA & TSSIA, who introduced the speakers and emphasized the importance of regulatory awareness and digital compliance solutions for small and medium enterprises.
The first technical session was delivered by Shri Vijay Bukkawar, former Director (HSE & Responsible Care) at the Indian Chemical Council and retired Joint Director from the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health, Government of Maharashtra. He provided an in-depth overview of the Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions (OSH) Code, covering its applicability for factories, SMEs, and establishments, along with key safety and welfare provisions required at workplaces. The session also explained mandatory approvals, licensing procedures, compliance requirements for contract and migrant workers, documentation and record maintenance, as well as inspection procedures and penalty provisions under the latest regulatory framework.
This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Sarika Bukkawar, Founder & Director of Webstac Software Pvt. Ltd., who introduced Webstac 3S, a digital compliance management platform designed to simplify regulatory compliance for SMEs. The session demonstrated how technology-driven solutions can help industries manage statutory registers, documentation, and compliance tracking efficiently.
The second session of the seminar focused on Union Budget 2026–27, where experts from Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys shared insights on the budget’s implications for businesses and the MSME sector. The session featured presentations by CA Nirav Sanjay Karia, CA Ratan Jain, Chaitanya Bhatt, and Dinesh Kukreja, who discussed key tax proposals, policy changes, and their potential impact on industry growth and compliance requirements.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Ashish Sirsat, Vice President TSSIA, followed by a networking session over high tea. The event witnessed active participation from industry representatives including directors, proprietors, partners, HR heads, plant heads, and senior management professionals from MSMEs.
