The Thane Small Scale Industries Association (TSSIA), a founding member of the Chamber of Small Industry Associations (COSIA), marked a historic milestone with its Golden Jubilee Celebration, held on 13 December 2025 at Taj – The Trees, Mumbai. The evening brought together industry leaders, policymakers, office bearers, members, and well-wishers to commemorate five decades of TSSIA’s contribution to the MSME ecosystem.
The event celebrated not only the journey of an association, but the collective resilience, unity, and advocacy that have shaped the industrial landscape of Thane and beyond.
A Thoughtfully Curated Evening
The programme commenced with a formal opening. The evening was smoothly and engagingly hosted by Mr. Rohit Millns and Ms. Anjum Qazi, both Executive Committee Members of TSSIA, who anchored the programme and guided the audience through the celebration. A warm Welcome Address was delivered by Mr. Ashish Sirsat, Vice President, TSSIA, setting the tone for the evening. This was followed by the inauguration ceremony, including Ganesh Vandana and lighting of the lamp, in the presence of senior office bearers and dignitaries.
Mr. Bhavesh Maru, Hon. General Secretary, TSSIA, delivered the General Secretary’s address, highlighting the association’s consistent engagement with policy advocacy, member support, and institutional credibility built over five decades.
Mr. Purushottam Agwan – EC Member of TSSIA and VP of COSIA sang a song dedicated to TSSIA’s efforts and it’s Journey. A special milestone journey video showcased TSSIA’s evolution from its modest beginnings in 1975 to becoming one of Maharashtra’s most respected MSME associations.
Presidential Address and Vision Ahead
In his address, Mr. Sandeep Parikh, President of TSSIA and COSIA, reflected on 50 glorious years of vision, leadership, and legacy. He acknowledged the unwavering trust placed in him by the Executive Committee and members, and paid tribute to the tireless efforts of the TSSIA staff who have been instrumental in executing the association’s activities over the years.
He highlighted TSSIA’s role in addressing critical issues faced by MSMEs, including regulatory challenges, infrastructure concerns, and policy advocacy, while also outlining the roadmap ahead — with emphasis on skill development, technology adoption, strengthening regional chapters such as Bhiwandi, and expanding the membership base towards 4,000 members.
Pride of TSSIA Awards 2025
A key highlight of the evening was the “Pride of TSSIA Awards – 2025”, honouring exemplary entrepreneurs and enterprises for their contribution to industry, innovation, and ethical business practices. The awards reflected the diversity and strength of the MSME sector and reinforced TSSIA’s ethos of recognising merit and perseverance. The awardees were QbD Research and Development Lab Pvt. Ltd., PCI Analytics Pvt. Ltd., Vision Vidyut Engineers Pvt. Ltd. and Mathure Metal Works Pvt. Ltd.
Knowledge, Laughter, and Engagement
The evening featured an insightful talk by Mr. Sandesh Mestry. In his address, Mr. Mestry focused on the critical subject of preparing the next generation for entry into family-run businesses, sharing practical insights on succession planning, mindset transition, and the importance of structured grooming of successors to ensure continuity and long-term growth of MSMEs. Adding a lighter note to the celebration was a well-received stand-up comedy performance by Ms. Poornima Toprani, which resonated strongly with the audience and brought warmth and laughter to the gathering.
