The Chamber of Small Industry Associations organized a Sensitization Workshop on the ADEETIE Scheme (Assistance for Deployment of Energy Efficient Technologies in Industrial Establishments) on 26th February 2026 for industries from the Thane Chemical Cluster. The program was held at the premises of Kalyan Ambernath Manufacturers Association, MIDC Phase I, Dombivli, in association with industry partners and stakeholders from the energy and banking sectors.
The workshop aimed to create awareness among MSMEs about the ADEETIE Scheme introduced by the Ministry of Power, supported by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, which encourages industrial units to adopt energy-efficient technologies through financial support and technical handholding.
The session began with a welcome address followed by special remarks from Mr. Narayan Mane, President of KAMA, and Mr. Ninad Jaywant, Hon. General Secretary of COSIA and Chairman of the TSSIA Bhiwandi Chapter. The program was also addressed by Mrs. Sonali Deore, General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Thane, who highlighted the importance of adopting energy-efficient technologies for sustainable industrial growth.
Experts from various organizations delivered detailed presentations explaining the scope and benefits of the ADEETIE scheme. Mr. Rahul Ghube from EESL provided a comprehensive overview of the scheme, including its objectives, implementation framework, and the process for MSMEs to avail the benefits. Representatives from leading banks also explained the financial products available under the scheme.
The ADEETIE scheme offers interest subvention of 5% for micro and small enterprises and 3% for medium enterprises on loans taken for adopting energy-efficient technologies. The scheme also provides end-to-end support for industries, including investment-grade energy audits, preparation of detailed project reports, implementation guidance, and monitoring of outcomes.
The workshop also featured technical presentations on advanced energy-efficient solutions such as turbo blowers, heat pumps, and other industrial energy-saving technologies by technology experts and service providers. These sessions helped participants understand practical solutions that can significantly reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
The program concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where MSME representatives discussed their operational challenges and explored opportunities to adopt energy-efficient technologies under the scheme.
Various industry representatives from the chemical sector and other MSME units actively participated in the workshop. The event served as an important platform for industry members to learn about government-supported initiatives that promote energy efficiency, cost savings, and sustainable industrial practices.
